During the past two weeks–where everyday has seemed like a Monday–the Mumbai team has been working diligently to meet our initial goals, not to mention making the necessary adjustments to life in Mumbai.

With only three days spent in Mumbai so far, we have been incredibly productive following a semester of anticipation and preparation. Six hours of our first day was spent in Behrampada meeting with the Mahila Mandel women and four out of the six families which have been using the Haat meN Sehat water-treatment system since February. The women warmly welcomed us back to the community, and were very excited when we suggested the development of a community education center operated out of a local room.
